I have been able to take a lot of photos of various New York cycling events, and I am sharing a few here. If you are curious about particular events, let me know and I will try to dig them out.

Critical Mass is held in hundreds of cities on six continents, on the last Friday of every month. In each of these cities, bicyclists and skaters converge to take their places the ordinarily car-clogged streets. Critical Mass focuses on the rights of bicyclists and the rights of pedestrians; it also brings attention to the deteriorating quality of life starting with the toxic levels of air and noise pollution that cars create in cities.
In New York City, we meet at the north side of Union Square Part at 7:00pm on the last Friday of every month. The event is not formally organized by anybody, though it is promoted by the environmental group Times Up.
